Thank you for the calm reply, but that is still sad. I've seen the comments that go on and on on tangents, but did not see how mine was even close. Oh well. If you agree, then why not help the cause? Should there be a place for such things, then? Doesn't matter, I guess.

Zac - The comments that go on and on for tangents start with a small but political post like yours. If we leave the small ones, but hide the larger ones, people cry unequal moderating. If we leave them all, the forum descends into a political or religious pissing contest, which means the forum won't survive. I know it's hard to separate politics from a subject like genuine wilderness in the lower-48, but we gotta try. cheers, philpsych

Are you kidding me?!!!!! I say that it's sad legislation is not passing through congress to protect "wilderness" areas--the same area the old guy helped you find, and would not be there if there wasn't legislation to protect it, mind you--and it gets deleted because it's political?!!!! Jesus. That is spineless, nancey-boy bull shit. I hope you feel ashamed the next time you steal your next trip in to wild and untrammeled areas. Have fun with your editorial endeavors. Do you also burn books, that mention the need to protect wilderness? I have some David James Duncan, Thomas McGuane, John Muir and Edward Abbey books that would keep you warm. Do you read those writers? Would you edit their writing from the pages of Clark's?

Wilderness has nothing to do with fishing tackle. Maybe you should delete the whole post. Can you give me a list of acceptable subjects to write about? I will compare it to the People's Republic of China's acceptable list of things to write about... And, yes, don't worry, I know I can go other places if I don't like it on Clark's. I already have, and will stay there.

Zac - Politically, I agree with you, and have many of those authors on my bookshelf. But there is no room for politics or religion on Clarks, which is a site about fishing tackle. Sorry man, those are the rules. Any political post at all, no matter how perceptive, or insightful, just triggers the opposite view, which leads to diatribes and rants. So, no politics or religion, please. Cheers, philpsych
